Kameryn Rein Schwarz

Founding Director, Former Chicago Police Officer

Kameryn had never given much thought to U.S. Navy SEALs—until God used the 2012 film Act of Valor to capture her attention and awaken a burden to pray for these warriors. Something about their courage and sacrifice stirred something deep within her. From that moment on, she began faithfully praying for these men — warriors she had never met but felt deeply called to stand in the gap for.

Four years later, Kameryn had what seemed like a chance encounter — an opportunity to spend a week alongside members of this elite community. But it was not by chance. God’s fingerprints were all over it. Nearing the end of the week, Kameryn felt a bold prompting to pray with the team — a completely unconventional request.

Before that moment, she admits she had a full-on argument with God. “I thought, ‘There’s no way. If I pray this prayer, I’m never getting invited back tomorrow.” But what followed was one of the boldest prayers of her life. “The Holy Spirit was so present during and after that prayer,” she remembers. “I literally thought, I can’t believe I’m saying these words in front of these men right now.

That single prayer changed everything. It opened doors she never could have imagined and took her places only God could lead her.

“In that moment,” Kameryn shares, “God placed a holy assignment on my heart — to love, serve, and stand with this community for the rest of my life.”

Today, nearly a decade later, Kameryn lives in San Diego, walking out that calling through OCF — a mission to see suicide, addiction, and divorce rates in the NSW community radically decrease through God’s Word, prayer, and intentional community. “I honestly never imagined I’d do it through OCF,” she says. “But God is so faithful, so miraculous. He restores lives in ways we can’t begin to imagine. He loves you deeply and wants the absolute best for you. And I love you too. It’s my joy and honor to walk alongside you — to provide support that’s firmly rooted in Scripture and fueled by His love.”

Christian Mullan

President, Retired U.S. Navy SEAL

Christian Mullan served in the United States Navy and carries a deep, personal burden for the spiritual and operational welfare of Naval Special Warfare. Anyone who knows him quickly sees that he would rather stay in the background, no spotlight, no long list of credentials, and certainly no photos. But for the sake of OCF’s mission, he’s willing to share a bit more of his story and how God led him here.

Christian enlisted in the Navy in 2011, deploying around the world before becoming an instructor at Naval Special Warfare Basic Training Command. He was medically retired in August 2025. During his years in the teams, he witnessed firsthand the psychological and spiritual battles faced by teammates, struggles that continued long after the deployments ended. As an instructor, he was moved by the growing boldness and steadfast faith he saw rising among the next generation of candidates and across the NSW community.

As his career neared its end, Christian began searching for a way to continue supporting this movement of faith he saw unfolding, something that would help teammates find healing through the gospel and be a steady presence for those still wrestling with unseen burdens. That desire eventually led him to Operation Christian Fellowship… or, as he often says, OCF was the one that found him.

Through OCF, Christian discovered the unexpected privilege of placing Bibles into the hands of graduates, a moment he considers one of the most meaningful rewards of his service. He is deeply grateful for the path, even the trials, that God used to bring him to this calling.

Christian prays that OCF’s support will draw warriors who do not yet know the Lord into His embrace, and that every operator will find the courage to walk in Unashamed Worship (John 4:24) and live as an Unafraid Witness (Ephesians 6:19–20).
